Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Keep the Appliance Clean
Switch off and unplug the refrigerator before cleaning. Use lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda to clean the inside. Avoid using soap or detergent to prevent lingering odors. Clean the condenser and compressor at the back with a brush or vacuum cleaner once or twice a year to maintain performance and reduce electricity consumption.
Maintain Proper Temperature
Ensure the thermostat is set to an appropriate level, usually between 3-4 for optimal performance. Adjust the setting based on room temperature, door opening frequency, and food storage amount. Use the Low Room Temperature Switch during cold weather to maintain proper internal temperatures.
Ensure Proper Ventilation
Place the refrigerator in a cool, well-ventilated room, avoiding locations near cookers, radiators, or direct sunlight. Ensure air openings are unobstructed, and the back is close to a wall with the required distance for ventilation.
Food Storage Tips
Avoid storing warm food or evaporating liquids. Wrap or cover food to prevent strong odors, and ensure airtight packaging to avoid unnecessary frosting. Allow warm food to cool to room temperature before refrigeration.
Door Management
Avoid leaving the door open for long periods or opening it frequently to prevent warm air from entering. Ensure the door closes properly without obstructions.
